Brief Overview Of Atom Energy AXY
Atom Energy Limited (ACN 123 629 863) listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in mid 2007 with a package of uranium exploration properties in the Northern Territory and has since added to these licences.
The company acquired the private Australian company Mustang Energy Ltd which is acquiring a group of licences in the Utah sector of the Four Corners region of the United States – an area that has produced high grade uranium deposits and is seen as a prime region for new uranium discoveries.
The company’s most advanced project is Cleo’s on the Pine Creek Geosyncline where drilling in 2007 produced a JORC resource.
In mid 2008 Atom’s board decided it would be more economic and efficient to establish an office in Alice Springs near the bulk of its exploration properties, and closed its office in Perth – eliminating a high cost travel and accommodation issue for the exploration team.
